Nutrient Report Oxide Unit Token Tool

Apply an explicitly supplied oxide-to-element mass factor while preserving source metadata; no fertilizer rate is inferred.

Description

Multiply reportedValue by it only when reportedAsOxide; return sourceToken unchanged as factorSource.

Nutrient labels can report elements, oxide equivalents or fractions on wet, dry or anhydrous material bases. Stoichiometric conversion requires a verified chemical identity and the correct factor direction. A supplied source label and numerical factor record assumptions rather than proving the underlying chemical definition.

Multiply reportedValue by it only when reportedAsOxide; return sourceToken unchanged as factorSource.

When to use this tool

Use Nutrient Report Oxide Unit Token when checking the stated nutrient, moisture or elemental-equivalent convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter reportedValue, suppliedElementPerOxide, reportedAsOxide, sourceToken. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read elementEquivalent, factorSource. Use the output convention below.

Require positive suppliedElementPerOxide. Multiply reportedValue by it only when reportedAsOxide; return sourceToken unchanged as factorSource.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The factor and chemical identity are supplied, not verified; signed values remain possible and no oxide composition is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Check the original label, analytical method and authoritative chemical definition before applying a conversion or comparing nutrient quantities.
