Extension Demo Plot Yield Comparison Term Tool

Calculate extension demo plot yield comparison term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Loading tool…

Description

Return harvest/area for each plot and secondYield-firstYield.

Extension-training comparisons depend on score ranges, credit weights, unit factors, plot support and cost bases. A normalized difference or area-scaled harvest describes supplied records rather than proving learning, causal adoption or an agronomic effect. Caller-chosen factors need separate justification.

Return harvest/area for each plot and secondYield-firstYield.

When to use this tool

Use Extension Demo Plot Yield Comparison Term when checking the stated training, credit, demonstration-plot, unit or cost convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter firstHarvest, firstArea, secondHarvest, secondArea. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read firstYield, secondYield, gap. Use the output convention below.

Require positive plot areas and nonnegative harvests. Return harvest/area for each plot and secondYield-firstYield.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Use compatible harvest and moisture bases; a two-plot comparison alone does not show causal treatment effects or statistical significance.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified representative observations and appropriate complete educational, statistical or budget analysis for substantive training, agricultural or funding decisions.
