Demonstration Plot Edge Area Factor Tool

Calculate demonstration plot edge area factor from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Loading tool…

Description

Weighted area=gross-edge+edge*factor; excluded equivalent=edge*(1-factor).

Extension-training comparisons depend on score ranges, credit weights, unit factors, plot support and cost bases. A normalized difference or area-scaled harvest describes supplied records rather than proving learning, causal adoption or an agronomic effect. Caller-chosen factors need separate justification.

Weighted area=gross-edge+edge*factor; excluded equivalent=edge*(1-factor).

When to use this tool

Use Demonstration Plot Edge Area Factor when checking the stated training, credit, demonstration-plot, unit or cost convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter grossArea, edgeArea, suppliedEdgeFactor. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read weightedArea, excludedEquivalent. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative gross area, edge area within gross and edge factor in [0,1]. Weighted area=gross-edge+edge*factor; excluded equivalent=edge*(1-factor).1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The edge factor is an assumed weight rather than a measured yield correction or an inferred edge-effect model.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods
