Description
Return plotEffort/totalEffort.
Extension-service records track resources, attendance, feedback and permission assertions. Distinct people and repeated records have different denominators, and a complete record does not prove valid consent or a high-quality service. Names such as verified describe caller-supplied evidence flags.
Return plotEffort/totalEffort.
When to use this tool
Use Demonstration Plot Effort Share when checking the stated extension-service record, participation or permission convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter plotEffort, totalEffort. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read share. Use the output convention below.
Require positive total effort and plot effort in [0,total]. Return plotEffort/totalEffort.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| plotEffort | Plot Effort | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| totalEffort | Total Effort | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| share | Dimensionless share using the operation-specific denominator stated above; not a percentage number. | Required. Finite number. |
{
"input": {
"plotEffort": 3,
"totalEffort": 12
},
"output": {
"share": 0.25
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Effort requires one explicit common basis; the share does not establish observation quality or representativeness.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review original service and participant records and the applicable permission/organizational rules for actual use or reporting decisions.
