Equipment Hire Day Margin Tool

Supplied equipment-hire contribution accounting without revenue or utilization forecasts.

Loading tool…

Description

Contribution=(hireRevenuePerDay-dailyCost)*days-nonbillableCost; per-day value divides by days, or returns zero with defined=false when days=0.

Agribusiness budgets distinguish capacity, elapsed time, person-nights, physical losses, usable pack contents and moisture-normalized mass. A nominal unit cost differs from total profitability, and a cold-storage fee says nothing about actual preservation conditions. The reporting basis must match the supplied quantities.

Contribution=(hireRevenuePerDay-dailyCost)*days-nonbillableCost; per-day value divides by days, or returns zero with defined=false when days=0.

When to use this tool

Use Equipment Hire Day Margin when checking the stated business quantity, resource, unit-cost or material-basis convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter hireRevenuePerDay, dailyCost, billableDays, nonbillableCost. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read contribution, perBillableDay, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Require nonnegative billable days, daily cost and nonbillable cost. Contribution=(hireRevenuePerDay-dailyCost)*days-nonbillableCost; per-day value divides by days, or returns zero with defined=false when days=0.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Revenue per day may be signed; zero per-day output can be a placeholder while the total contribution is negative.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use verified operating and contract records and a complete suitable budget or material assessment for actual financial, logistical or quality decisions.
