Description
Session=tasks*observation+briefing+feedback; assessor person-minutes multiply the full session by assessors.
Adult-learning budgets allocate supplied time, observations, support hours and optional participation. Elapsed session time differs from assessor person-time or serial per-learner time. A completeness count or feasible time balance does not itself assess competence, accessibility or learning quality.
Session=tasks*observation+briefing+feedback; assessor person-minutes multiply the full session by assessors.
When to use this tool
Use Workplace Assessment Observation Time Term when checking the stated adult-learning time, participation, resource or support-allocation convention.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter tasks, observationMinutes, briefingMinutes, feedbackMinutes, assessors. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read sessionMinutes, assessorPersonMinutes. Use the output convention below.
Require whole tasks>=0 and assessors>=1, with nonnegative observation/briefing/feedback minutes. Session=tasks*observation+briefing+feedback; assessor person-minutes multiply the full session by assessors.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| observationMinutes | Observation Minutes Unit: min. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| briefingMinutes | Briefing Minutes Unit: min. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| feedbackMinutes | Feedback Minutes Unit: min. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| assessors | Assessors | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| sessionMinutes | Session Minutes Unit: min. | Required. Finite number. |
| assessorPersonMinutes | All assessors times the full session duration, assuming each attends the whole session. | Required. Finite number. |

- Assumes all assessors attend the whole session; it does not measure assessment quality or determine professional staffing requirements.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
