Study Session Reporting Gap Tool

Audit supplied research reporting timestamps without recommending session schedules or treatment.

Description

Return reported-session and that lag minus allowance, keeping negative values.

Acupuncture research records distinguish reporting completeness, source editions, treatment-contact labels, outcome direction and missing-outcome scenarios. These tools organize benign study or public-source metadata; they do not provide treatment instructions, locate intervention sites or determine safety or efficacy. Reporting support and clinical evidence are different questions.

Return reported-session and that lag minus allowance, keeping negative values.

When to use this tool

Use Study Session Reporting Gap when checking the stated benign study-record, public-source or reporting convention.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter sessionDay, reportedDay, suppliedAllowedLag. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read lagDays, beyondAllowance. Use the output convention below.

Require whole session/reported day coordinates and nonnegative whole allowed lag. Return reported-session and that lag minus allowance, keeping negative values.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • No reporting chronology is enforced; a negative beyondAllowance is slack, not proof of valid or timely research reporting.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the original protocol, registry, reports and appropriate complete research methods; consult qualified health professionals for actual care or clinical interpretation.
