Manifest Icon Size Parser
Parse an icon sizes string into positive pixel dimensions and an explicit scalable any flag.
Description
Icon sizes describe available raster dimensions or the scalable any form.
Icon sizes describe available raster dimensions or the scalable any form. They describe declared capabilities rather than measuring an image.1
Parse an icon sizes string into positive pixel dimensions and an explicit scalable any flag.
When to use Manifest Icon Size Parser
Use this tool to parse an icon sizes string into positive pixel dimensions and an explicit scalable any flag.
Choose the URL, decoded source text, header value or explicit byte list requested by this tool. Paste the complete relevant input and follow its parsing and encoding conventions.
How to use Manifest Icon Size Parser and understand its results
- Choose the URL, decoded source text, header value or explicit byte list requested by this tool. Paste the complete relevant input and follow its parsing and encoding conventions.
- Enter sizes using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
- Read sizes, any. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
- If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type; see rules below | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| sizes | Space-separated icon sizes or any. | string; maximum length: 1000000 | Required |
Paste a whitespace-separated sizes string. Accept case-insensitive any and x/X dimension separators, with positive safe integers and no leading zero forms. Return ordered width/height records plus the any flag; duplicates are preserved and empty input returns empty sizes with false.
sizes=parse positive integer WxH tokens; any=true if an any token occurs Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| sizes | Declared icon dimensions in pixels. | list of object; minimum entries: 0; maximum entries: 100000 |
| any | Whether scalable size any is present. | boolean |

} Limitations and assumptions
This does not load images or verify their actual dimensions or format. Invalid tokens cause an input error rather than being silently discarded.
Numeric inputs must be finite. Follow the calculation-specific rules for overflow, underflow and exceptional cases. Extremely large text inputs are rejected. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors. A successfully returned false flag is an evaluated outcome; its meaning is explained above.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Manifest Display Validator: Validate a web application manifest display keyword without treating display_override extension values as display values. For a complementary task, use Image Srcset Parser: Parse srcset candidates with positive width or density descriptors, rejecting mixed descriptor types and preserving commas within URL tokens.
