Image Reference Horizontal Flip Tag

Label an explicit reference-image flip flag without modifying image pixels or inferring original orientation.

Description

Label whether a reference image is recorded as horizontally flipped.

Artwork dimensions depend on whether a measurement describes the image, support, window, overlap or reserved edge. Linear enlargement multiplies area by the square and volume by the cube of the scale. A signed clearance or width adjustment retains useful direction information, while a nominal geometric fit still needs material, production and installation context.

Label whether a reference image is recorded as horizontally flipped.

When to use this tool

Use Image Reference Horizontal Flip Tag when you already have recordId, horizontalFlipRecorded and need to label whether a reference image is recorded as horizontally flipped.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter recordId, horizontalFlipRecorded. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read label. Use the output convention below.

Require nonempty recordId; append horizontally flipped when horizontalFlipRecorded, otherwise orientation unchanged.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • This records an assertion; it does not inspect or transform an image.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Check an actual dimensioned layout or calibrated test piece for mounting and production. Use a geometric model for full enlargement or overlap accounting, and physical drawdowns or material tests when thickness behavior matters.
