Description
Compare rack light readings with supplied targets and summarize gaps only across verified records.
An indoor-growing record or design budget combines quantities such as tray area, operating time, water volume, electrical energy, and light output. Ratios depend on a stated production boundary and period. Supplied conversion factors and idealized geometry need to remain separate from measured equipment and crop performance.
Compare rack light readings with supplied targets and summarize gaps only across verified records.
When to use this tool
Use Rack Level Light Gap when you need one stated production, lighting, water, or geometry term from a consistently defined growing-system budget.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter levelIds, lightReadings, targetReadings, verified. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read verifiedLevels, residuals, maximumAbsoluteGap. Use the output convention below.
Require aligned levelIds, lightReadings, targetReadings, and verified arrays. Return every reading-minus-target residual, count distinct verified level IDs, and find maximumAbsoluteGap using only verified rows, defaulting that maximum to zero.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| levelIds | Level Ids | Required. Array of Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.; maximum items 256. |
| lightReadings | Light Readings | Required. Array of Finite number.; maximum items 256. |
| targetReadings | Target Readings | Required. Array of Finite number.; maximum items 256. |
| verified | Verified | Required. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| verifiedLevels | Distinct level IDs with at least one verified row. | Required. Safe integer. |
| residuals | Residuals | Required. Array of Finite number.; maximum items 256. |
| maximumAbsoluteGap | Largest verified absolute residual, or zero when none are verified. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- With no verified rows the maximum is a placeholder zero and verifiedLevels is zero. Duplicate level IDs collapse only for the count, not the residuals; light targets and verification are supplied annotations.
- The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Compare the supplied budget with measured system records and keep the same production boundary. Equipment selection, installation, and crop requirements need an appropriate engineering or agronomic assessment.
