Description
Return overdelivery=max(0,delivered-ordered) and share=overdelivery/ordered, requiring positive ordered and nonnegative delivered.
A logistics record separates ordered, reserved, dispatched, received, lost, and available quantities. It can also distinguish volume, mass, packaging, and cost bases. A balance or ratio checks supplied records and assumptions without verifying physical inventory, a contract, or safe loading.
Return overdelivery=max(0,delivered-ordered) and share=overdelivery/ordered, requiring positive ordered and nonnegative delivered.
When to use this tool
Use Order Line Overdelivery Share when you need the particular supplied count, loading-budget, timing, or cost term in a logistics record.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter ordered, delivered. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read overdelivery, share. Use the output convention below.
Return overdelivery=max(0,delivered-ordered) and share=overdelivery/ordered, requiring positive ordered and nonnegative delivered.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| ordered | Ordered | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| delivered | Delivered | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| overdelivery | Overdelivery | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless fraction using the stated denominator; not a percentage numeral. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The share may exceed one and underdelivery returns zero rather than a negative value. No delivery policy, permitted excess, payment obligation, or stock update is determined.
- The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Check the original stock, shipment, measurement, and contract records before acting on a balance. A full packing, routing, procurement, or load assessment may require more than the returned term.
