Description
Set comparable only when neither empty flag is true, and return numeric match one only for comparable equal minima, otherwise zero.
MinHash compares set signatures produced under the same hash function or permutation. A single signature position contributes one equality indicator; averaging many compatible positions can support a broader similarity estimate. Here the minima are supplied text values and are compared exactly, rather than computed from sets.
Set comparable only when neither empty flag is true, and return numeric match one only for comparable equal minima, otherwise zero.
When to use this tool
Use Minhash One Permutation Match Indicator when you need this particular comparison term, normalization, domain condition, or empty-result policy in a larger matching workflow.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter firstMinimum, secondMinimum, firstEmpty, secondEmpty. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read comparable, match. Inspect comparable before interpreting the associated values.

| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| firstMinimum | First supplied minimum represented as text; compared by exact string equality. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| secondMinimum | Second supplied minimum represented as text under the same signature convention. | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| firstEmpty | Whether the first source set is empty; true disables comparison. | Required. Boolean. |
| secondEmpty | Whether the second source set is empty; true disables comparison. | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| comparable | True exactly when both supplied empty flags are false. | Required. Boolean. |
| match | Zero/one indicator; zero also applies when incomparable. | Required. Safe integer. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Minima and emptiness are supplied. This is one permutation's indicator, not a hash computation or a complete MinHash/Jaccard estimate, and zero can reflect incomparability.
- The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Compare methods only after aligning feature definitions, missingness, empty policies, multiplicities, and normalizers. Use a complete comparison when the tool returns only one contribution or count check.
