Muscardine Humidity Risk Checker
Integrate linearly interpolated RH exposure above a caller muscardine monitoring threshold and longest continuous spell; does not diagnose infection or predict disease probability.
Description
Humidity exposure depends on duration as well as level.
Humidity exposure depends on duration as well as level. Linear interpolation estimates time above a monitoring threshold between samples.
Integrate linearly interpolated RH exposure above a caller muscardine monitoring threshold and longest continuous spell; does not diagnose infection or predict disease probability.
When to use Muscardine Humidity Risk Checker
Use this tool to integrate linearly interpolated RH exposure above a caller muscardine monitoring threshold and longest continuous spell; does not diagnose infection or predict disease probability.
Prepare cocoon, larval, leaf or reeling measurements on a consistent batch and moisture basis. Use the declared mass, length and time units.
How to use Muscardine Humidity Risk Checker and understand its results
- Prepare cocoon, larval, leaf or reeling measurements on a consistent batch and moisture basis. Use the declared mass, length and time units.
- Enter timesHours, relativeHumiditiesPercent, callerExposureThresholdPercent, callerAlertExposureHours using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
- Read exposureHoursAboveCallerThreshold, maximumContinuousExposureHours, callerExposureAlert. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
- If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type; see rules below | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| timesHours | Times hours | list of number | Required |
| relativeHumiditiesPercent | Relative humidities percent | list of number | Required |
| callerExposureThresholdPercent | Caller exposure threshold percent | number | Required |
| callerAlertExposureHours | Caller alert exposure hours | number | Required |
Align increasing hours with RH in [0,100], a threshold in [0,100] and nonnegative alert hours. Accumulate strict exceedance durations, track the longest continuous spell and alert only when total exposure strictly exceeds the caller duration.1
Paired lists must be nonempty and have equal lengths. Each sequence checked for increasing order must contain at least two strictly increasing values.
exposure = sum of interpolated interval portions with RH > threshold Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| exposureHoursAboveCallerThreshold | Exposure hours above caller threshold | number |
| maximumContinuousExposureHours | Maximum continuous exposure hours | number |
| callerExposureAlert | Caller exposure alert | boolean |

The interpolation does not diagnose muscardine or produce a disease probability.
Numbers and computed results must be finite; overflow produces an error. Numeric lists are limited to 100,000 entries; the rules above may require smaller limits. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors. A successfully returned false flag is an evaluated outcome; its meaning is explained above.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Room Air Changes Rearing: Compute effective fresh-air changes and source-free mixed tracer decay from fan duty, recirculation and mixing calibration; unlike mining steady contaminant dilution, no generation-limit airflow or disease-control guarantee. For a complementary task, use Leaf Storage Wilt Percent Limit Checker: Audit matched stored leaf mass loss against a caller wilt criterion and split water/dry change using paired assays; signed component changes are retained and spoilage is not diagnosed.
