Joint Site Observation Share Tool

Count research site observation coverage without disease activity scoring.

Description

Count research site observation coverage without disease activity scoring.

Research records distinguish observed, missing, inapplicable, and unverified entries. Those categories affect which denominator or weight a summary uses. A completeness or timing calculation describes the supplied records without assigning a clinical score or interpreting a condition.

Count research site observation coverage without disease activity scoring.

When to use this tool

Use it for joint site observation share when the required inputs and conventions are already available.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter observed, planned. Keep parallel arrays aligned and use the stated units and conventions.
  2. Run the calculation. Correct any input error before interpreting a result.
  3. Read observedPlanned, plannedCount, share, defined. Inspect any known, defined, inclusion, or boundary flags before interpreting numeric values.

Count observed entries only where the aligned planned flag is true and divide by the planned count. Return zero share with defined false when no sites are planned.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
observedObservedRequired. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256.
plannedPlannedRequired. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
observedPlannedObserved PlannedRequired. Safe integer.
plannedCountPlanned CountRequired. Safe integer.
shareDimensionless fraction using the denominator described above; not a percentage numeral.Required. Finite number.
definedWhether the associated denominator or quantity is defined; read this before interpreting a zero placeholder.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Observations at unplanned positions do not increase coverage. These flags represent supplied research records rather than joint examination, diagnosis, or a disease score.
  • The field tables describe structural bounds; the mechanics also state cross-field requirements. Malformed input shapes, disallowed keys, and invalid domains cause input errors. Results must remain finite and within the declared output contract. A successful false flag or zero placeholder is distinct from an error.
  • Numeric arithmetic uses binary floating point. Exact comparisons have no hidden tolerance or decimal rounding; negative zero is exported as zero. Decimal-text integer operations retain the exactness specifically stated above.

Alternative or Complementary methods

For joint site observation share, check the source records and the supplied rule before comparing the result with another method. Use an appropriately validated measurement or analysis method for clinical interpretation.
