Random Suzhou Numeral Generator
Choose one Unicode Suzhou numeral character from the Hangzhou numeral one-through-nine and ten, twenty, and thirty repertoire using injected randomness.
Description
Choose one of twelve Suzhou numeral code points representing one through nine, ten, twenty, or thirty.
Suzhou numerals are encoded as distinct numeric symbols in the CJK Symbols and Punctuation block. Unlike a decimal-digit picker, this repertoire includes symbols for ten, twenty, and thirty as well as one through nine.1
The generator samples U+3021–U+3029 and U+3038–U+303A and returns one symbol as string value. Each of the twelve stored code points has one selection slot; no zero symbol or complete positional number is constructed.
When to use Random Suzhou Numeral Generator
Use it for numeral-recognition exercises, font coverage checks, or text fixtures covering these twelve encoded symbols.
How to use Random Suzhou Numeral Generator and understand its results
- Run the generator with no inputs; use {} for an API request.
- Read or copy value as a complete Unicode symbol and identify its numeric meaning from the documented repertoire.
- Run again for another draw. Build any complete numeral expression separately using the appropriate notation conventions.
offset = floor(randomDraw × 12) Offsets 0–8 select U+3021–U+3029; offsets 9–11 select U+3038–U+303A. Each code point is converted directly to a string.
{
"input": {},
"randomDraw": 0.25,
"output": {
"value": "〤"
}
} Draw zero gives U+3021, while a draw just below one gives U+303A, the symbol for thirty. There is no zero outcome. A draw of one, a negative draw, or a nonfinite draw is rejected.
Limitations and assumptions
The default source is Math.random; no seed input or cryptographic entropy guarantee is provided. Repeated runs may select the same result, and the distribution depends on the random source.
This is a one-symbol generator, not a decimal integer generator, Suzhou number formatter, transliterator, or parser. A font must cover the selected code point to display it.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use an integer generator for bounded numeric values. A script-specific decimal-digit generator demonstrates a different zero-through-nine repertoire.
