Description
Use explicitly supplied eligibility and verification flags; no public-health eligibility rule.
Public-health summaries depend on who is counted, which observations are verified, and the period and population used as the base. Shares, weighted contributions, and inventory balances describe supplied records; they do not by themselves establish a health outcome or a clinical recommendation.
Use explicitly supplied eligibility and verification flags; no public-health eligibility rule.
When to use this tool
Use it for service eligibility support share when the required inputs and conventions are already available.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter populationWeights, eligible, eligibilityVerified, serviceObserved. Keep parallel arrays aligned and use the stated units and conventions.
- Run the calculation. Correct any input error before interpreting a result.
- Read eligibleWeight, verifiedServiceWeight, share, defined. Inspect any known, defined, inclusion, or boundary flags before interpreting numeric values.
Require aligned nonnegative populationWeights and eligibility, eligibility-verification, and observed-service flags. Sum eligibleWeight for all eligible entries and verifiedServiceWeight only where all three flags are true; divide the latter by eligibleWeight.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| populationWeights | Population Weights | Required. Array of Finite number; minimum 0.; maximum items 256. |
| eligible | Eligible | Required. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256. |
| eligibilityVerified | Eligibility Verified | Required. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256. |
| serviceObserved | Service Observed | Required. Array of Boolean.; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| eligibleWeight | Eligible Weight | Required. Finite number. |
| verifiedServiceWeight | Verified Service Weight | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless fraction using the denominator described above; not a percentage numeral. | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the associated denominator or quantity is defined; read this before interpreting a zero placeholder. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Unverified eligible weight stays in the denominator. A zero eligible weight gives share zero with defined false; inputs are supplied support flags rather than independently checked service records.
- The field tables describe structural bounds; the mechanics also state cross-field requirements. Malformed input shapes, disallowed keys, and invalid domains cause input errors. Results must remain finite and within the declared output contract. A successful false flag or zero placeholder is distinct from an error.
- Numeric arithmetic uses binary floating point. Exact comparisons have no hidden tolerance or decimal rounding; negative zero is exported as zero. Decimal-text integer operations retain the exactness specifically stated above.
Alternative or Complementary methods
For service eligibility support share, check the source records and the supplied rule before comparing the result with another method. Use an appropriately validated measurement or analysis method for clinical interpretation.
