Holland RIASEC Top-Three Code Tool
Independent Holland RIASEC score top three with stable RIASEC tie ordering and all third cutoff ties explicit, not a normed vocational recommendation.
Description
A RIASEC ranking orders six independently established interest scores.
A RIASEC ranking orders six independently established interest scores.1
Ties need an explicit ordering convention and remain relevant at the third-score cutoff. The calculation and input requirements are explained below.
When to use Holland RIASEC Top-Three Code Tool
Enter exactly six finite scores in R,I,A,S,E,C order.
How to use Holland RIASEC Top-Three Code Tool and how it works
- Prepare the measurements or independently established model inputs described below, with matching units and observation scope.
- Enter the required fields and run Holland RIASEC Top-Three Code Tool.
- Read the result fields using the formula, output units, signs and ordering explained below.
- Correct any rejected inputs and rerun; interpret the result within the stated model and its assumptions.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| actualRiasecScores | Actual Riasec Scores. Use the units and matching context stated in the calculation below. | array of number | Required; other constraints below |
Enter exactly six finite scores in R,I,A,S,E,C order. Sort descending, favoring that input order for ties, and concatenate the top three letters. Separately return all letters whose score equals the third-ranked score, including selected and unselected tied letters.
topThree=stableDescendingRIASEC(scores).first(3); ties=lettersAtThirdScore Apply the input ordering, units and branch conditions stated above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| result | Object containing the calculated or selected fields below. | object |
| result.orderedTopThreeCode | Ordered Top Three Code. Interpret its unit, sign, order or availability flag as explained above. | string |
| result.cutoffTiedLetters | Cutoff Tied Letters. Interpret its unit, sign, order or availability flag as explained above. | array of string |

The calculation uses the supplied observations and model inputs. It does not collect measurements, select a reference population or coefficient, or establish that the model applies to the actual case. The stated branch conditions and output units remain part of the result.
All fields require explicit values. Unexpected fields, wrong types, nonfinite numbers and sparse arrays are rejected. Alignment, bounds and supported-token rules are explained above; extremely large inputs or nonfinite results can also fail. Input errors differ from successful false comparisons, unavailable-domain flags and empty match lists.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Type Letter Dichotomy Classifier for a complementary operation: A dichotomy score comparison selects the larger of two supplied scores.
Use Sociometric Status Z From Nominations Calculator for a complementary operation: A sociometric nomination z-score compares a count with a matched reference mean and standard deviation.
