Description
Research form-completion accounting without imputing responses or calculating a psychiatric score.
Research questionnaires and interview records distinguish answered, declined, omitted, unpresented, and inapplicable items. Timing and support annotations also affect their denominators. A completeness measure or scale transformation describes those records without establishing an instrument score or a mental-health assessment.

When to use this tool
Use Research Questionnaire Omission Share when you need the particular completeness, timing, polarity, or bookkeeping term for supplied research and interview records.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter answered, omitted, inapplicable, includeInapplicable. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read denominator, omissionShare, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Use answered+omitted plus inapplicable only when includeInapplicable for denominator. Return omissionShare=omitted/denominator or zero with defined false for an empty base, requiring nonnegative integer counts.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| answered | Answered | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| omitted | Omitted | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| inapplicable | Inapplicable | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| includeInapplicable | Include Inapplicable | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| denominator | Denominator | Required. Safe integer. |
| omissionShare | Omission Share | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the stated denominator or quantity is defined; inspect before interpreting a placeholder. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Denominator policy is explicit rather than an instrument scoring rule. Missingness and applicability categories are supplied, and no clinical score, diagnostic assessment, or response-quality inference is made.
- The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the relevant validated instrument and its documented missing-response and scoring procedures when the task requires an assessment. Verify research annotations and timing before combining record terms.
