Description
Sum durations with both participants present for jointDuration, then those also consentActive for consentedJointDuration.
Research questionnaires and interview records distinguish answered, declined, omitted, unpresented, and inapplicable items. Timing and support annotations also affect their denominators. A completeness measure or scale transformation describes those records without establishing an instrument score or a mental-health assessment.
Sum durations with both participants present for jointDuration, then those also consentActive for consentedJointDuration.
When to use this tool
Use Interview Overlap Support Share when you need the particular completeness, timing, polarity, or bookkeeping term for supplied research and interview records.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter durations, interviewerPresent, participantPresent, consentActive. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read jointDuration, consentedJointDuration, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Sum durations with both participants present for jointDuration, then those also consentActive for consentedJointDuration. Return their ratio or zero with defined false for no joint duration, using aligned nonnegative records.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| durations | Durations | Required. Array of finite number; minimum 0; maximum items 256. |
| interviewerPresent | Interviewer Present | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| participantPresent | Participant Present | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| consentActive | Consent Active | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| jointDuration | Joint Duration | Required. Finite number. |
| consentedJointDuration | Consented Joint Duration | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless fraction using the stated denominator; not a percentage numeral. | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the stated denominator or quantity is defined; inspect before interpreting a placeholder. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The flags are supplied annotations. This weighted record-support share does not establish informed consent, legal authorization, interview validity, or a clinical outcome.
- The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the relevant validated instrument and its documented missing-response and scoring procedures when the task requires an assessment. Verify research annotations and timing before combining record terms.
