Stock Sheet Pocket Count Capacity Planner

Count unrotated single-row slots per actual usable stock-sheet pocket, retaining per-pocket constraints. Caller independently verifies observations, reference edition, units and applicability; not a grading-service certificate, authentication, conservation treatment, actual market price or legal/insurance entitlement.

Description

A stock-sheet pocket can hold stamps only when their height fits and their widths plus gaps fit its usable span.

A stock-sheet pocket can hold stamps only when their height fits and their widths plus gaps fit its usable span.1

This planner computes capacities for supplied pocket widths using one orientation.

When to use Stock Sheet Pocket Count Capacity Planner

Use this tool when you need to summarize the supplied collecting records or matched observations. Prepare independently verified observations, reference edition/context, and matching units or currency basis.

How to use Stock Sheet Pocket Count Capacity Planner and understand its results

  1. Prepare independently verified observations, reference edition/context, and matching units or currency basis.
  2. Enter usablePocketWidthsMm, usablePocketHeightMm, stampWidthMm, stampHeightMm, horizontalGapMm, following the field table and calculation rules below, then run the tool.
  3. Read pocketCapacities, totalCapacity. For result objects, inspect the nested output fields below, including any missing evidence or selected indices.
  4. Correct any input issues and run again. Before using a successful result, review its units, signs, evidence coverage, and stated model or reference assumptions.

horizontalGapMmHorizontal gap mmnumberRequired

Require positive usable pocket height and stamp width/height, nonnegative widths and gap, and stamp height no greater than pocket height. For each width compute max(0,floor((width+gap)/(stampWidth+gap))) and sum the capacities. An empty width list yields zero total. It does not rotate stamps or select protective materials.

capacity_i=max(0,floor((pocketWidth_i+gap)/(stampWidth+gap)))

Read these symbols with the field meanings and branch or reference rules above.

Limitations and assumptions

Observations, reference edition, and applicability are independently supplied. Arithmetic and reference summaries do not provide authentication, a certified grade, or an actual market price.

Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types, and violated calculation rules return input issues. Numeric values must be finite; nonfinite numeric outputs are rejected. Arrays must be dense, with no missing cells. Numeric lists allow at most 10000 entries, subject to smaller tool-specific bounds above.

Alternative or Complementary methods

For a related task, use Album Page Grid Slots per Page Calculator: A rectangular album grid fits mounts according to usable dimensions and inter-mount gaps. This planner computes one fixed orientation’s row and column capacities without rotating mounts or allocating individual stamp positions. For a complementary step, use Album Pages Needed for Collection Size Calculator: An album layout with a fixed number of usable slots per page determines how many pages an inventory needs. This planner rounds upward and reports the unused slots on the allocated pages.
