Worm Bin Stock Cover Day Count

Divide explicit material stock by supplied positive daily use without recommending feed or estimating worm demand.

Description

Calculate nominal days of worm-bin material coverage at a supplied daily use.

Garden-resource planning uses supplied geometry, material stocks, visit counts and accounting boundaries. Water elevation difference gives nominal head before losses, while a screened reject fraction uses the screened total. Local arithmetic does not establish plant compatibility, suitable animal care, drainage performance or a safe structural design.

Calculate nominal days of worm-bin material coverage at a supplied daily use.

When to use this tool

Use Worm Bin Stock Cover Day Count when you already have availableMaterialMass, suppliedDailyUseMass and need to calculate nominal days of worm-bin material coverage at a supplied daily use.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter availableMaterialMass, suppliedDailyUseMass. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read daysCovered. Use the output convention below.

Require availableMaterialMass>=0 and dailyUseMass>0; return mass/daily use.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
availableMaterialMassAvailable Material MassRequired. Finite number; minimum 0.
suppliedDailyUseMassSupplied Daily Use MassRequired. Finite number; strictly above 0.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Uses constant supplied consumption and compatible units; no feeding rate, animal care, decomposition or safe operating practice is recommended.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Measure actual site geometry and reconcile resource stocks, transfers and observation periods. For water delivery, account for the complete hydraulic path and losses; nominal head and local garden margins remain preliminary bookkeeping or geometry.
