Feedback Delay Coverage
Audit assessment feedback delays against a caller-defined timeliness target.
Description
Feedback timeliness compares paired submission and feedback timestamps on one minute scale.
Feedback timeliness compares paired submission and feedback timestamps on one minute scale. Inclusive delay thresholds count feedback exactly at the target as on time.1
Audit assessment feedback delays against a caller-defined timeliness target.
When to use Feedback Delay Coverage
Use this tool to audit assessment feedback delays against a caller-defined timeliness target.
Prepare the lesson timeline, roster, observations or assessment labels requested. Use consistent units and exact identifiers, then choose comparison criteria appropriate to the activity.
How to use Feedback Delay Coverage and understand its results
- Prepare the lesson timeline, roster, observations or assessment labels requested. Use consistent units and exact identifiers, then choose comparison criteria appropriate to the activity.
- Enter submittedAtMinutes, feedbackAtMinutes, maximumDelayMinutes using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
- Read delayMinutes, onTimeCount, onTimePercent. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
- If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type; see rules below | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| submittedAtMinutes | Submitted at minutes | list of number | Required |
| feedbackAtMinutes | Feedback at minutes | list of number | Required |
| maximumDelayMinutes | Maximum delay minutes | number | Required |
Enter nonempty aligned finite timestamps with feedback no earlier than submission and nonnegative maximum delay. Return all delays, on-time count and percentage.
delay_i=feedback_i−submitted_i; onTime%=100 count(delay≤maximum)/n Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| delayMinutes | Delay minutes | list of number |
| onTimeCount | On time count | number |
| onTimePercent | On time percent | number |

} Limitations and assumptions
No calendar, platform record or feedback quality is examined. Timestamps can be signed offsets but must share one origin.
Numeric inputs must be finite. Follow the calculation-specific rules for overflow, underflow and exceptional cases. Lists are limited to 100,000 entries; the rules above may require smaller limits. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Transition Time Gate: Compare observed classroom transition times with a caller-supplied benchmark. For a complementary task, use Wait Time Gate: Measure teacher wait times against a caller-supplied minimum.
