Description
Inspect an explicit public agreement reference hierarchy without interpreting obligations.
Public agreements, monitoring, dialogue, and assistance records use explicit identifiers, time windows, accounting bases, and participation categories. A match or coverage share describes a supplied representation. It does not independently establish the accuracy of a record, the fairness of a process, or conditions on the ground.
Inspect an explicit public agreement reference hierarchy without interpreting obligations.
When to use this tool
Use Public Agreement Article Depth when you need this local public-record match, participation measure, duration, or accounting check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter articleReference, separator, rootToken. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read depth, underRoot. Inspect underRoot before interpreting the associated values.
Require nonempty separator and rootToken. Return depth=0 for an empty articleReference, otherwise the number of pieces from literal separator splitting; underRoot is true for exact root equality or a root-plus-separator prefix.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| articleReference | Article Reference | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| separator | Separator | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| rootToken | Root Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| depth | Literal separator-piece count, including empty internal pieces. | Required. Safe integer. |
| underRoot | Under Root | Required. Boolean. |

"input": {
"articleReference": "A.2.3",
"separator": ".",
"rootToken": "A"
},
"output": {
"depth": 3,
"underRoot": true
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- Empty pieces from repeated separators count toward depth. This is a text hierarchy convention, not a legal article parser, agreement interpretation, or authentication of a document.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Verify the underlying public sources, time basis, inclusion policy, and interpretation of the reporting denominator. Substantive agreement analysis or current field conditions require information beyond these supplied tokens or coordinates.
