Gametocyte Clearance Followup
Track first observed zero gametocyte count and subsequent rebound in an ordered follow-up series.
Description
Clearance follow-up consists of repeated counts at specified days.
Clearance follow-up consists of repeated counts at specified days. The first observed zero and any later positive count describe the observed sequence rather than continuous-time clearance.
The tool returns firstZeroDay (first zero day); lastPositiveDay (last positive day); noLaterRebound (no later rebound). Input measurements and model parameters are supplied by the caller; the tool computes the stated summary rather than acquiring those measurements.
When to use Gametocyte Clearance Followup
Use Gametocyte Clearance Followup when you already have observationDays, gametocyteCounts and want firstZeroDay, lastPositiveDay, noLaterRebound. This is useful for checking a supplied calculation, documenting a measurement convention, or comparing observations prepared on the same basis.
How to use Gametocyte Clearance Followup and understand its results
- Enter observationDays, gametocyteCounts using the field table below. Match the units, ordering and data boundaries described in the calculation.
- Run the tool after checking the stated bounds and matching paired observations or categories. A malformed request gives a tool error rather than a usable measurement.
- Read firstZeroDay, lastPositiveDay, noLaterRebound. Use the calculation and interpretation below to distinguish amounts, ratios, signs and decision flags where applicable.
- Review the supplied parameters and assumptions before using the result in a report or comparing it with another observation.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type and bounds | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| observationDays | Observation days | list of number | Required |
| gametocyteCounts | Gametocyte counts | list of number | Required |
Require aligned counts and strictly increasing nonnegative integer days. Report the first zero and last positive day, using −1 when absent, and inspect later counts for rebound.
first zero day = day at first zero count; rebound-free = first zero exists AND all subsequent counts are zero The symbols refer to the supplied quantities or generated values described above; unit conversions and comparison boundaries follow the stated implementation.

} Limitations and assumptions
An observed zero is assay-limited; no interpolation or guarantee about unobserved days and future clearance is made.
Numerical inputs must be finite. The tool checks its declared input shape and calculation constraints; those checks do not verify the quality, calibration or representativeness of the supplied observations.
