Punctuation Era Marker Set Identifier (punctus vs virgule)
Qualified caller-reference registry: actual manuscript punctuation inventory, script/region and independent comparative dating evidence; punctuation alone does not establish era. Requires independently applicable source/context/date evidence; not an authoritative table, omitted predictive model, diagnosis, permission, safety or compliance determination.
Description
Retrieve a supplied punctuation era marker set identifier (punctus vs virgule) reference record with its declared source, context and date.
Punctuation forms can contribute to manuscript comparison, but the same mark may occur across periods and regions. Dating requires contextual evidence.
This is a caller-supplied reference registry. It retrieves a record from the keys and texts you provide, and carries the supplied source, context and date into the result. It does not contain or fetch a built-in authoritative table for punctuation era marker set identifier (punctus vs virgule).
When to use this tool
Use this tool to retrieve and carry an already reviewed, context-specific record through a repeatable workflow. Prepare the applicable source material first; a query label alone is not evidence.
- Select a record without losing its source, context and date.
- Keep query spelling and paired reference records consistent.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Identify an independently applicable source, its context and its as-of date before preparing the records.
- Enter matching reference-key and reference-text lists. Keep each key aligned with its text and use unique keys.
- Enter queryReferenceKey exactly as it occurs in the key list, then run the lookup.
- Read result.qualifiedReferenceText together with result.source, result.context and result.asOfDate. Verify applicability before relying on the retrieved text.
The tool requires a nonblank source and context and checks that the as-of date is a valid Gregorian date. It requires the key and text lists to have matching lengths, the keys to be unique and nonblank, and the texts to be nonblank. It finds queryReferenceKey by exact, case-sensitive equality and returns the text at the same index. An unknown key is an input error rather than a guessed result. Source, context and date are echoed from the input; the tool does not authenticate them.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| callerVerifiedSource | Identify the independently checked source and edition; a nonblank label is required. | Text |
| callerVerifiedContext | State the applicable population, method, model or jurisdiction; a nonblank description is required. | Text |
| callerVerifiedAsOfDate | Gregorian date YYYY-MM-DD identifying the supplied reference context. | Text |
| callerReferenceKeys | Unique, nonblank, case-sensitive keys in the same order as the reference texts. | List of text values |
| callerReferenceTexts | Nonblank reference text for each key; provide at most 128 paired entries. | List of text values |
| queryReferenceKey | Exact key to retrieve; an absent key is an input error. | Text |
| Output field | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| result | Object containing the following named result fields. |
| result.qualifiedReferenceText | Text selected by exact query-key equality; supplied evidence is not independently authenticated. |
| result.source | The callerVerifiedSource string echoed unchanged. |
| result.context | The callerVerifiedContext string echoed unchanged. |
| result.asOfDate | The callerVerifiedAsOfDate string echoed unchanged. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The tool checks input structure and retrieves supplied text. It does not verify the source, its authority, the truth of a record, or whether that record applies to a real case.
- No missing measurement, diagnosis, rule, permission, hazard threshold, rate, trajectory or historical expansion is inferred from the query. A name that resembles a calculator does not add an omitted model.
- The date is supplied by the caller and checked as a date; freshness and edition applicability require independent review. The source is not fetched or updated.
- At most 128 key/text pairs are accepted; keys and ordinary list strings are limited to 128 code units, and each reference text to 512. Keep full source material in an appropriate independently licensed reference system.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Build and review the reference table from the original applicable source before using this lookup. If a measurement or predictive result is required, use a method that actually computes it and retain its units, assumptions and uncertainty.
