Biopsy Tissue Availability Flag

Combine explicit specimen availability and release flags without determining tissue adequacy or permission validity.

Description

Check three recorded flags for biopsy-tissue availability.

Biopsy records separate specimen location, recorded remaining material and permission to release it. Those assertions address different parts of a tissue-availability workflow; a true flag combination still depends on accurate source records. Availability alone does not establish specimen identity, adequacy for a test or appropriate clinical use.

Check three recorded flags for biopsy-tissue availability.

When to use this tool

Use Biopsy Tissue Availability Flag when you already have specimenLocated, remainingMaterialRecorded, releasePermissionRecorded and need to check three recorded flags for biopsy-tissue availability.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter specimenLocated, remainingMaterialRecorded, releasePermissionRecorded. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read availableUnderFlags. Inspect availableUnderFlags before interpreting the associated values.

Return specimenLocated && remainingMaterialRecorded && releasePermissionRecorded.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Flags are supplied assertions; the tool does not locate tissue, verify adequacy, establish release authority or determine actual availability.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile the original specimen inventory, remaining-material record and release documentation when actual availability matters. Keep those checks separate from assay requirements and clinical interpretation; this helper combines supplied flags only.
