Description

Audit explicit step identifiers without inferring task performance.

Activity and assistive-task records distinguish planned, attempted, completed, assisted, observed, and optional components. Shares depend on the selected denominator and credit policy. A supplied code, geometry, or time-budget calculation is separate from evaluating an individual's function or safe access.

Audit explicit step identifiers without inferring task performance.

When to use this tool

Use Work Task One Handed Sequence Stepgap when you need this specific task-count, assistance-code, timing, equipment-budget, or participation-record component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter requiredSteps, recordedSteps, firstExpected. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read missingSteps, outOfOrderCount, firstGap. Use the output convention below.

Require unique integer requiredSteps and recordedSteps. Return missingSteps absent from the record, outOfOrderCount for each adjacent numeric descent in recordedSteps, and firstGap=firstRecorded-firstExpected or zero for an empty record.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
requiredStepsRequired StepsRequired. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256.
recordedStepsRecorded StepsRequired. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256.
firstExpectedFirst ExpectedRequired. Safe integer.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
missingStepsMissing StepsRequired. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256.
outOfOrderCountNumber of adjacent numeric descents, not all departures from required order.Required. Safe integer.
firstGapFirst recorded step minus firstExpected; zero convention for an empty record.Required. Safe integer.

Limitations and assumptions

  • This is a local numeric sequence check, not a comparison against the full required order. Empty firstGap zero is a convention; task feasibility, assistance needs, one-handed ability, and clinical suitability are not assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the intended assessment and a complete task or access model when a local check is insufficient. Verify task definitions, credit policies, measurement units, and the context of the underlying observations.
