Description
Administrative supplied rest-window ledger without determining sufficient rest or fitness for work.
Occupational exposure calculations combine measured quantities, duration, reference conditions, weighting, and sampling support. Linear concentrations, squared acceleration, and logarithmic sound levels require different arithmetic. A supplied reference or limit is not automatically the applicable standard, and a local calculation is separate from a full exposure and safety assessment.

When to use this tool
Use Survey Rest Window Remainder when you need this particular sampling, duration, reference-unit, physical-exposure, or reporting-base term.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter restWindow, elapsed, suppliedInterruptions. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read creditedRest, remaining. Use the output convention below.
For nonnegative restWindow, elapsed, and suppliedInterruptions<=elapsed return creditedRest=elapsed-interruptions and remaining=restWindow-creditedRest.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| restWindow | Rest Window | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| elapsed | Elapsed | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| suppliedInterruptions | Supplied Interruptions | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| creditedRest | Credited Rest | Required. Finite number. |
| remaining | Remaining | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- All durations need one unit. Remaining can be negative when credited rest exceeds the target; the target and interruption-credit policy are supplied, not a legal break rule, fatigue assessment, or safe work-rest recommendation.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a complete hazard-specific assessment with calibrated measurements and the appropriate exposure model. Verify reference conditions, sampling coverage, weighting, denominator, and the applicable professional or regulatory method.
