Polygenic Risk Score Calculator
Simple additive actual aligned allele dosage×external variant weights PRSsum, not absolute individual risk, ancestry portable predictor or variant weight estimation. Actual independently matched observations/units and protocol, not diagnosis, causal mechanism, clinical decision or validated individual prediction.
Description
An additive polygenic score sums aligned effect-allele dosages multiplied by externally established weights.
An additive polygenic score sums aligned effect-allele dosages multiplied by externally established weights.1
This tool calculates that sum without estimating absolute individual risk or validating ancestry portability.
When to use Polygenic Risk Score Calculator
This tool calculates that sum without estimating absolute individual risk or validating ancestry portability.
How to use Polygenic Risk Score Calculator and how it works
- Prepare aligned effect allele dosages, externally validated variant weights, using the input definitions and matching units below.
- Enter the required fields and run Polygenic Risk Score Calculator.
- Read result.value using the units, signs and ordering explained below.
- Correct any rejected inputs and rerun; interpret the result within the stated model and its assumptions.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| actualAlignedEffectAlleleDosages | Actual Aligned Effect Allele Dosages. Use the units and matching context stated in the calculation below. | array of number | Required; other constraints below |
| callerExternallyValidatedVariantWeights | Caller Externally Validated Variant Weights. Use the units and matching context stated in the calculation below. | array of number | Required; other constraints below |
Require nonempty aligned allele-dosage and weight arrays. Dosages must lie from 0 to 2 inclusive; fractional dosages are accepted. Weights are finite and may be signed. Sum dosage times weight without intercept, probability conversion, ancestry correction or weight estimation.
additiveScore=sum(effectAlleleDosage_i*externalWeight_i) Apply the input ordering, units and branch conditions stated above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| result | Object containing the calculated or selected fields below. | object |
| result.value | Numeric model result on the ratio, score, constant or density basis explained above. | number |

The calculation uses the supplied observations and model inputs. It does not collect measurements, select a reference population or coefficient, or establish that the model applies to the actual case. The stated branch conditions and output units remain part of the result.
All fields require explicit values. Unexpected fields, wrong types, nonfinite numbers and sparse arrays are rejected. Alignment, bounds and supported-token rules are explained above; extremely large inputs or nonfinite results can also fail. Input errors differ from successful false comparisons, unavailable-domain flags and empty match lists.
