Description
Flag a required but uncompleted recorded neonatal screen, including at transfer.
Neonatal records connect birth-event identity, age wording, posture, monitor intervals and prepared/residual feed quantities. Recorded elapsed age differs from corrected age, and a feed-volume residual differs from verified intake. Pending-screen and channel labels remain supplied administrative observations rather than clinical assessments.
Flag a required but uncompleted recorded neonatal screen, including at transfer.
When to use this tool
Use Neonatal Transfer Pending Screen Flag when you already have screenRequiredRecorded, screenCompletedRecorded, transferRecorded and need to flag a required but uncompleted recorded neonatal screen, including at transfer.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter screenRequiredRecorded, screenCompletedRecorded, transferRecorded. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read pendingScreen, pendingAtTransfer. Inspect pendingScreen, pendingAtTransfer before interpreting the associated values.
Return required && !completed as pendingScreen and transferRecorded && pendingScreen as pendingAtTransfer.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| transferRecorded | Transfer Recorded | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| pendingScreen | Pending Screen | Required. Boolean. |
| pendingAtTransfer | Transfer recorded and required screening not recorded complete; not a clinical transfer decision. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The flags do not establish screening suitability, actual completion, transfer readiness or appropriate neonatal care.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile original birth, monitoring, screening and feeding records for an actual care question. Preserve age and volume bases explicitly; local flags, time differences and unit representations do not establish readiness, nutrition or developmental state.
