Description
Intersect firstIds with secondIds and count unique shared identifiers.
Evidence bookkeeping records identifiers, reported methods, source editions, and supplied support flags. A complete-looking citation or matching record is different from evidence of a claim's validity.
Intersect firstIds with secondIds and count unique shared identifiers.
When to use this tool
Use Trial Report Sample Overlap Count when you need a reproducible source or study-record consistency check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter firstIds, secondIds. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read sharedIds. Use the output convention below.

| secondIds | Second Ids | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Exact identifier equality is used; duplicate records, partial participant overlap, and study independence require separate review.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Read the original report and compare methods, outcomes, provenance, and uncertainty before assessing an evidence claim.
