Description
Use labelTotalMass or labelTotalMass minus solventMass as denominator according to useSolventFree.
A product label can express an amount per serving, per package, or on a solvent-free basis. Changing the denominator changes the reported amount or fraction.
Use labelTotalMass or labelTotalMass minus solventMass as denominator according to useSolventFree.
When to use this tool
Use Product Label Solvent Base Flag when you need to reconcile explicit label quantities or package counts.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter labelTotalMass, solventMass, labeledComponentMass, useSolventFree. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read denominatorMass, componentFraction. Use the output convention below.
Use labelTotalMass or labelTotalMass minus solventMass as denominator according to useSolventFree. Divide labeledComponentMass by that denominator.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| labelTotalMass | Label Total Mass | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| solventMass | Solvent Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| labeledComponentMass | Labeled Component Mass | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| useSolventFree | Use Solvent Free | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| denominatorMass | Denominator Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| componentFraction | Component Fraction | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Solvent must be below total mass and component mass cannot exceed solvent-free mass; no composition analysis or therapeutic conclusion is supplied.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Check the original label's units and basis; assess suitability or safety independently of label arithmetic.
