Light Rotation Schedule Interval Planner for Works on Paper

Fit whole caller rotation blocks independently across works with different remaining light ledgers/illuminance; no recovery of prior fading during dark rotation.

Description

Rotation blocks consume each work's own remaining light budget.

Rotation blocks consume each work's own remaining light budget. Different illuminances mean equal block counts need different dose.

Fit whole caller rotation blocks independently across works with different remaining light ledgers/illuminance; no recovery of prior fading during dark rotation.

When to use Light Rotation Schedule Interval Planner for Works on Paper

Use this tool to fit whole caller rotation blocks independently across works with different remaining light ledgers/illuminance; no recovery of prior fading during dark rotation.

Prepare the collection, exposure, scheduling or financial records required for this calculation. Keep row order and the declared units consistent.

How to use Light Rotation Schedule Interval Planner for Works on Paper and understand its results

  1. Prepare the collection, exposure, scheduling or financial records required for this calculation. Keep row order and the declared units consistent.
  2. Enter remainingLuxHoursByWork, plannedDisplayLuxByWork, displayHoursPerDay, callerRotationBlockDays using the field table and calculation rules, then run the tool.
  3. Read maximumCompleteRotationBlocksByWork, unusedLuxHoursByWork. The explanation below defines the units, signs, ordering and any flags or placeholder values.
  4. If the tool reports an input issue, correct the values and run it again. Apply the stated assumptions when interpreting a successfully returned result.
Input fieldMeaningValue type; see rules belowRequirement
remainingLuxHoursByWorkRemaining lux hours by worklist of numberRequired
plannedDisplayLuxByWorkPlanned display lux by worklist of numberRequired
displayHoursPerDayDisplay hours per daynumberRequired
callerRotationBlockDaysCaller rotation block daysintegerRequired

Align nonnegative remaining dose with positive planned lux, positive hours/day at most 24 and positive integer block days. Return complete blocks and residual dose per work.1

Paired lists must be nonempty and have equal lengths.

blocks = floor(remaining lux-hours/(lux × hours/day × days/block))

Units, indexing, boundary conditions and exceptional cases are defined in the calculation rules above.

Output fieldMeaningValue type
maximumCompleteRotationBlocksByWorkMaximum complete rotation blocks by worklist of number
unusedLuxHoursByWorkUnused lux hours by worklist of number

Limitations and assumptions

Dark rotation does not recover previous fading.

Numbers and computed results must be finite; overflow produces an error. Numeric lists are limited to 100,000 entries; the rules above may require smaller limits. Missing required fields, extra fields, wrong value types and violations of the calculation rules are input errors.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use Textile Display Rest Period Rotator Planner: Budget dark calendar rest to meet caller long-run average dose with fixed display run; darkness reduces future exposure rate, not reversal or biological recovery of textile damage. For a complementary task, use Exhibition Duration from Lux Budget Calculator: Invert an explicitly mixed daily lighting program into complete budget-compatible display days, not a universal recommended exhibition duration.
