GSI Rating Calculator
Audit independently assigned GSI edition-specific component ratings with explicit unknown maximum bounds, no rock-mass class from unspecified photographs or universal component table. Caller independently verifies units, applicability and matching conditions; no operational recipe, safety certification, causal efficacy or legal/resource classification is inferred.
Description
An already assigned GSI component ledger can include unknown ratings.
An already assigned GSI component ledger can include unknown ratings.1
Bounds for unknown components preserve the difference between a known subtotal and a possible whole rating.
When to use GSI Rating Calculator
Use this tool to calculate or review the supplied observations under the stated rules. Match completed survey or ledger observations by block, segment or stage and confirm their units and boundaries.
How to use GSI Rating Calculator and understand its results
- Match completed survey or ledger observations by block, segment or stage and confirm their units and boundaries.
- Enter callerGsiComponentRatings, knownGsiComponentFlags, callerGsiMissingComponentMaximums, using the field meanings and rules below, then run the tool.
- Read knownRatingSubtotal, wholeRatingLowerBound, wholeRatingUpperBound. Inspect nested result fields where present, and review unknown records separately from known matches.
- Correct any reported input issue and run again. Before using a successful result, check the stated units, signs, reference scope and observation coverage.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| callerGsiComponentRatings | Caller gsi component ratings | list of number | Required |
| knownGsiComponentFlags | Known gsi component flags; binary 1 means the matched observation is known, 0 means unknown | list of number | Required |
| callerGsiMissingComponentMaximums | Caller gsi missing component maximums | list of number | Required |
Use aligned nonnegative assigned ratings, binary known flags and nonnegative component maximums. Require every supplied rating≤its maximum, including unknown placeholders. Sum known ratings for the subtotal/lower bound and add unknown maxima for the upper bound; reject an upper bound>100. Ratings here need not be integers.
lower=Σ_known rating; upper=lower+Σ_unknown maximum Use the matching field units and the exact boundary, ordering and reference rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| knownRatingSubtotal | Known rating subtotal | number |
| wholeRatingLowerBound | Whole rating lower bound | number |
| wholeRatingUpperBound | Whole rating upper bound | number |

Units, ledger boundaries, survey interpretation and model applicability must be independently established. These summaries do not assign reserve/resource classifications or establish support adequacy, ventilation safety or an operating setting.
Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types and violated rules return input issues. Numeric values and outputs must be finite. Lists and matrices must be dense, without missing cells. Numeric lists allow at most 10000 entries; ordinary string lists allow at most 128 strings of 128 UTF-16 units each; numeric matrices allow at most 128 rows and 128 columns, subject to narrower requirements above.
Alternative or Complementary methods
For a related step, use RMR Rating Calculator: An already assigned RMR component ledger can include unknown ratings. For a complementary comparison, use GSI From RMR Calculator: An empirical RMR-to-GSI relation has an edition and applicability branch.
