Euler Product Approximation
Explicit realzetafiniteEulerproductΠ(1−p^−s)^−1, s>1, no continuation/tail bound. Explicit bounded resource/branch and actual observations or independently verified parameters; no unproved infinite assertion certified.
Description
The zeta Euler product combines factors indexed by primes on a convergent real-exponent domain.
The zeta Euler product combines factors indexed by primes on a convergent real-exponent domain.1
This tool evaluates a finite product through a supplied prime cutoff without certifying the omitted factors.
When to use Euler Product Approximation
Use this tool to evaluate a finite product through a supplied prime cutoff without certifying the omitted factors.
How to use Euler Product Approximation and how it works
- Prepare actualRealExponent, actualPrimeCutoff, with the units, conventions and assumptions below.
- Enter the required fields and run Euler Product Approximation.
- Read result.truncatedZetaEulerProduct using the output definitions below.
- Correct any rejected inputs and rerun; interpret the result within the stated model and its assumptions.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| actualRealExponent | Real Euler-product exponent s, strictly greater than one. | number | Required; finite; other constraints below |
| actualPrimeCutoff | Inclusive upper bound on prime values included in the product. | number | Required; integer 2–1000000; finite; other constraints below |
Require real s>1 and an integer prime cutoff from 2 to 1,000,000. Sieve primes through the cutoff, add -log1p(-p^(-s)) and exponentiate the sum. The output is the finite Euler product; no tail estimate or convergence certificate for the infinite product is supplied.
value=exp(-sum_{prime p<=cutoff} log(1-p^(-s))) Apply the input ordering, units and branch conditions stated above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| result | Object containing the calculated or selected fields below. | object |
| result.truncatedZetaEulerProduct | Finite prime-cutoff Euler product for the supplied real exponent. | number |

The calculation uses the supplied observations and model inputs. It does not collect measurements, select a reference population or coefficient, or establish that the model applies to the actual case. The stated branch conditions and output units remain part of the result.
All fields require explicit values. Unexpected fields, wrong types, nonfinite numbers and sparse arrays are rejected. Alignment, bounds and supported-token rules are explained above; extremely large inputs or nonfinite results can also fail. Input errors differ from successful false comparisons, unavailable-domain flags and empty match lists.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use Artin Constant Approximation for a complementary operation: Artin's constant has an Euler product over primes related to a primitive-root density convention.
Use Catalan Constant Approximation for a complementary operation: Catalan's constant has a fixed numerical value distinct from the Catalan integer sequence.
