Community Property Asset Split Calculator
Reconcile independently legally determined community-property inventory and court-approved split, not automatic classification of assets. Exact safe-integer signed net assets×caller basispoints/10000, half-away rounding first party, second receives exact residual. One currency; no ownership, alimony, tax, safety or legal advice.
Description
Community-property allocation depends on an independently established net asset pool and applicable shares.
Community-property allocation depends on an independently established net asset pool and applicable shares.1
The tool applies the supplied share without assuming every case is an equal split. Use this tool to calculate the stated observation or conditional model from supplied measurements.
When to use Community Property Asset Split Calculator
Use this tool to calculate the stated observation or conditional model from supplied measurements. Establish the planning scope, matching instrument or reference, observation definitions and currency or time basis.
How to use Community Property Asset Split Calculator and understand its results
- Establish the planning scope, matching instrument or reference, observation definitions and currency or time basis.
- Enter callerLegallyEstablishedDistributableNetAssetsMinorUnits, callerLegallyEstablishedFirstPartyBasisPoints, using the field meanings and rules below, then run the tool.
- Read result.conditionalFirstPartyAllocationMinorUnits, result.conditionalSecondPartyResidualMinorUnits. Interpret each field using the units, signs and evidence rules below.
- If input validation fails, correct the reported field and run again. Before applying a successful result, check the stated reference scope, units, assumptions and any retained unknown evidence.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| callerLegallyEstablishedDistributableNetAssetsMinorUnits | Caller legally established distributable net assets minor units; safe integer on one currency minor-unit basis | number | Required |
| callerLegallyEstablishedFirstPartyBasisPoints | Caller legally established first party basis points; integer share, 100 basis points equals 1 percent | number | Required |
Supply signed safe-integer distributable net assets in one currency's minor units and an independently established integer first-party share from 0 to 10000 basis points. Multiply net assets by basis points and divide by 10000 using BigInt, rounding to nearest minor unit with half ties away from zero. Return the first allocation and exact net-assets-minus-first residual, preserving the total. Negative net assets are allowed and zero or full shares are allowed. The tool does not select legal shares, classify assets or assume a fifty-fifty split.
firstAllocation=roundHalfAwayFromZero(netAssetsMinor×basisPoints/10000); secondResidual=netAssetsMinor−firstAllocation Apply the field units and exact ordering, boundary and evidence rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| result | Structured result containing the calculation or selected reference fields below | object |
| result.conditionalFirstPartyAllocationMinorUnits | Signed rounded first-party allocation in currency minor units | number |
| result.conditionalSecondPartyResidualMinorUnits | Signed residual allocation; the two allocations sum exactly to the supplied net assets | number |

The tool applies the supplied share without assuming every case is an equal split. Results depend on the independently established measurement basis and the exact model assumptions above.
Every listed input requires an explicit value. Unexpected fields, incorrect value types, nonfinite numbers and sparse numeric arrays fail validation; tool-specific bounds and alignment rules apply as described above. Extremely large inputs or outputs can also be rejected. An input error is distinct from a successful calculation that reports a false comparison or retains unknown evidence.

Use Divorce Alimony Calculator where its separate inputs and scope apply: Alimony depends on the relevant legal framework and case-specific evidence.
