Return the numeric year and unchanged sequence text.
Catalog identifiers and labels follow local formatting conventions. Splitting or recognizing a token's shape preserves structure without establishing that its identifier or classification is valid.
Return the numeric year and unchanged sequence text.
When to use this tool
Use Accession Number Year Sequence Split when you need one explicit catalog-label parsing or formatting step.
How to use the tool and how it works

} Limitations and assumptions
- Year zero and leading sequence zeros are accepted; no calendar, institution, or accession uniqueness is checked.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
