Description

Multiply nonnegative internalLength, internalWidth, and soilDepth for soilVolume.

Simple site geometry approximates an area, section, or volume using ideal shapes. Coherent length units and the distinction between signed and unsigned quantities determine the result's meaning.

Multiply nonnegative internalLength, internalWidth, and soilDepth for soilVolume.

When to use this tool

Use Planter Soil Depth Volume Box when you need one transparent landscape geometry component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter internalLength, internalWidth, soilDepth. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read soilVolume. Use the output convention below.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Use coherent length units; this is an ideal rectangular interior without drainage layers, root displacement, compaction, or structural load assessment.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use a surveyed terrain or construction model when irregular shapes, settlement, drainage, and structural performance matter.
