Description
Validate cornerX and cornerY as zero or one.
A bilinear cell combines constant, two linear, and one mixed coordinate term. Corner contrasts, stationary points, and edge intersections use normalized coordinates unless spans are supplied.
Validate cornerX and cornerY as zero or one.
When to use this tool
Use Bilinear Corner Node Sensitivity when you need one explicit bilinear coefficient, sensitivity, or level-set term.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter u, v, cornerX, cornerY. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read weight. Use the output convention below.
Validate cornerX and cornerY as zero or one. Multiply the selected u or 1-u factor by the selected v or 1-v factor for weight.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| u | U | Required. Finite number. |
| v | V | Required. Finite number. |
| cornerX | Corner X | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| cornerY | Corner Y | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| weight | Weight | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The coordinates u and v are unrestricted, so extrapolation may give negative weights; no corner values are supplied.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a complete cell model and a documented contour or interpolation policy when reconstructing a surface.
