Consular Notice Timezone Token Tool

Convert a supplied notice clock index only when its offset is known; no notification deadline is selected.

Description

When offsetKnown, subtract the offset; otherwise return referenceMinutes zero and referenceKnown false.

Calendar-day differences need real dates and a stated time basis. Fixed clock offsets, supplied working-day lists, and Gregorian date arithmetic answer different questions.

When offsetKnown, subtract the offset; otherwise return referenceMinutes zero and referenceKnown false.

When to use this tool

Use Consular Notice Timezone Token when you need explicit day or clock arithmetic with known inputs.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter localClockMinutes, offsetMinutes, offsetKnown. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read referenceKnown, referenceMinutes. Inspect referenceKnown before interpreting the associated values.

Require signed integer localClockMinutes and offsetMinutes in [-1439, 1439]. When offsetKnown, subtract the offset; otherwise return referenceMinutes zero and referenceKnown false.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The unknown-offset zero is a placeholder; no timezone database, date wrap, or daylight-saving rule is applied.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use an authoritative calendar and timezone source when holidays, local dates, or civil-time transitions matter.
