Description

Add financialTransactions, priceValuation, fxValuation, and otherAdjustments to openingPosition for closingPosition.

External-account identities reconcile flows, stocks, and explicit adjustments. Signed residuals are useful diagnostics but do not identify their cause or verify statistical classification.

Add financialTransactions, priceValuation, fxValuation, and otherAdjustments to openingPosition for closingPosition.

When to use this tool

Use International Capital Flow Stock Valuation Bridge when you need a transparent trade or external-account reconciliation term.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter openingPosition, financialTransactions, priceValuation, fxValuation, otherAdjustments. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read closingPosition, nontransactionChange. Use the output convention below.

Add financialTransactions, priceValuation, fxValuation, and otherAdjustments to openingPosition for closingPosition. Return valuation and other-adjustment terms separately as nontransactionChange.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • All signed terms must share currency and period; this reconciles supplied stock-flow components without verifying their statistical classification.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile the full dataset with its accounting and valuation conventions before interpreting a balance or value-added estimate.
