Description

Subtract effectiveDay from reviewDay for ageDays and subtract that age from suppliedMaximumAge for ageMargin.

Manufacturing records link lots, batches, effective dates, and review windows. Literal agreement or timing within a supplied window does not establish approval or traceability on its own.

Subtract effectiveDay from reviewDay for ageDays and subtract that age from suppliedMaximumAge for ageMargin.

When to use this tool

Use Release Document Age when you need a scoped manufacturing-record consistency check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter reviewDay, effectiveDay, suppliedMaximumAge. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read ageDays, ageMargin, futureEffective. Inspect futureEffective before interpreting the associated values.

Subtract effectiveDay from reviewDay for ageDays and subtract that age from suppliedMaximumAge for ageMargin. Mark futureEffective for a later effective day.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • A positive margin can coexist with a future-effective document; the tool does not determine document approval or release authority.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Verify the original controlled records, approved procedures, and responsible quality review.
