Manufacturing Lot Source Gap Tool

Compare literal supplied lot provenance identifiers; no manufacturing release decision.

Description

Count exact pairs, source IDs beginning with the prefix, and mismatched pairs independently.

Manufacturing records link lots, batches, effective dates, and review windows. Literal agreement or timing within a supplied window does not establish approval or traceability on its own.

Count exact pairs, source IDs beginning with the prefix, and mismatched pairs independently.

When to use this tool

Use Manufacturing Lot Source Gap when you need a scoped manufacturing-record consistency check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter lotIds, sourceLotIds, requiredSourcePrefix. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read exactMatches, prefixSupported, mismatched. Use the output convention below.

Require aligned lot lists and a nonempty requiredSourcePrefix. Count exact pairs, source IDs beginning with the prefix, and mismatched pairs independently.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Prefix support can coexist with a mismatch; string agreement does not prove provenance or regulatory traceability.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Verify the original controlled records, approved procedures, and responsible quality review.
