Description
Label a serology sample's recorded status and source.
Immunological records separate assay controls, marker codes, censoring, replicate identity and instrument signal conventions. Background-relative ratios need their exact control definition and may extend beyond a unit interval. Flow-detector quantities retain their native instrument units; a local ratio or source label does not classify a cell or establish immunity.
Label a serology sample's recorded status and source.
When to use this tool
Use Serology Indeterminate Status Label when you already have sampleId, recordedStatus, source and need to label a serology sample's recorded status and source.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter sampleId, recordedStatus, source. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read label. Use the output convention below.
Require sampleId/recordedStatus/source nonempty; JSON-quote the status in the label.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| recordedStatus | Recorded Status | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| source | Source | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

{
"input": {
"sampleId": "S17",
"recordedStatus": "indeterminate",
"source": "Lab A"
},
"output": {
"label": "S17; \"indeterminate\" [Lab A]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- No result is classified or interpreted, including indeterminate status, infection, immunity or assay validity.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review the original assay, control, detector and gating records for substantive interpretation. Use the complete validated analysis with explicit units and censoring treatment; a source token, local subtraction or normalization term does not establish a biological or clinical conclusion.
