Description

Subtract reservedCovers from seatCapacity with a zero floor for availableSeats and return the reverse excess for overbookedSeats.

Hospitality quantities depend on service periods, capacity rules, portions, room counts, and charging conventions. A component estimate uses the supplied assumptions and does not confirm availability or a complete booking price.

Subtract reservedCovers from seatCapacity with a zero floor for availableSeats and return the reverse excess for overbookedSeats.

When to use this tool

Use Restaurant Table Cover Capacity Gap when you need one service-capacity, timing, or charge component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Counts are nonnegative integers; table combinations, service timing, accessibility, staffing, and actual booking acceptance are not assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Check the full service plan, booking terms, local requirements, and operational capacity separately.
