Description
Return expiryDay-currentDay and subtract that reserve for beyondReserve.
Pharmacy inventory distinguishes physical stock, reservations, holds, lots, package units, and expiry records. A stock calculation describes supplied records and cannot establish that a medicine is suitable or authorized for use.
Return expiryDay-currentDay and subtract that reserve for beyondReserve.
When to use this tool
Use Stock Expiry Window Remainder when you need one explicit pharmacy stock-accounting component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter currentDay, expiryDay, suppliedReserveDays. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read calendarRemainder, beyondReserve. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative integer suppliedReserveDays. Return expiryDay-currentDay and subtract that reserve for beyondReserve.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| expiryDay | Supplied numeric expiry-day coordinate; endpoint inclusion follows the stated rule. | Required. Safe integer. |
| suppliedReserveDays | Supplied Reserve Days | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |

| calendarRemainder | Calendar Remainder | Required. Safe integer. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Day values are numeric coordinates; a nonnegative remainder does not establish product stability, storage compliance, or suitability for dispensing.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
