Herb One Third Harvest Rule Checker
Observed harvest fraction compared with illustrative one-third heuristic; not a species-specific recovery guarantee.
Description
Flag herb removal exceeding an illustrative one-third fraction.
A one-third herb-harvest rule is a simple proportion heuristic. This checker reports whether declared removal exceeds that fraction, without turning it into a plant-health assessment.
When to use this tool
Flag herb removal exceeding an illustrative one-third fraction. Use it when the input measurements and conventions below match the operation you need.
- Prepare removedMassGrams, initialMassGrams, respecting the measurement basis and boundaries below.
- Compare the worked example with your intended operation before reusing its result.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter every field in the input table using the stated units and exact supported selector spelling where applicable.
- Run the tool. Correct input errors before interpreting an output.
- Read the result fields below; use accompanying flags and the stated sign, boundary or model convention when interpreting a number.
Removed material must be nonnegative and initial material positive, with removal no greater than the initial amount. The review flag is true when removed divided by initial is strictly greater than one third.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| removedMassGrams | Removed mass grams. | Finite number; zero or greater |
| initialMassGrams | Initial mass grams. | Finite number; greater than zero |
| Output field | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| result | Object containing the following named result fields. |
| result.heuristicExceeded | Heuristic exceeded flag under the exact conditions described above. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Inputs must use a consistent measure. Species, growth stage, weather and recovery capacity are not modeled, so passing the fraction test does not establish a suitable harvest.
- Every declared field is required and unexpected fields are rejected. Numeric inputs must be finite; input errors are distinct from a valid false result or an explicitly qualified output.
- Extremely large inputs and nonfinite or excessively large outputs are rejected. List positions reported by the tool use zero-based indices unless stated otherwise.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Match the supplied measurements and reference context to the actual crop, material and site. A dimensional calculation or retrieved record is not a substitute for inspecting plant condition and applicable product instructions. Compare the scope of the nearby tools below before substituting one.
