CO2 Generator Burn Rate Calculator

Fuel inventory for independently measured CO2 generator emission factor; not combustion/ventilation or indoor safety design.

Description

Calculate a conditional CO2-generator fuel rate from demand and a qualified emission factor.

An independently established fuel-to-CO2 emission factor can convert a CO2 demand into a conditional fuel mass rate. This tool performs that unit-consistent division without specifying burner operation.

When to use this tool

Calculate a conditional CO2-generator fuel rate from demand and a qualified emission factor. Use it when the input measurements and conventions below match the operation you need.

  • Prepare requiredCo2KgPerHour, callerEmissionKgCo2PerKgFuel, respecting the measurement basis and boundaries below.
  • Compare the worked example with your intended operation before reusing its result.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter every field in the input table using the stated units and exact supported selector spelling where applicable.
  2. Run the tool. Correct input errors before interpreting an output.
  3. Read the result fields below; use accompanying flags and the stated sign, boundary or model convention when interpreting a number.

requiredCo2KgPerHour must be nonnegative and callerEmissionKgCo2PerKgFuel positive. fuelKgPerHour is demand divided by the supplied emission factor.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
requiredCo2KgPerHourRequired co2 kg per hour. Kilograms per hour.Finite number; zero or greater
callerEmissionKgCo2PerKgFuelCaller emission kg co2 per kg fuel.Finite number; greater than zero
Output fieldInterpretation
resultObject containing the following named result fields.
result.fuelKgPerHourFuel kg per hour; use the stated units and sign convention.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The factor and demand must already be applicable. No ventilation, incomplete combustion, carbon monoxide, heat load, equipment control or suitable occupancy condition is evaluated.
  • Every declared field is required and unexpected fields are rejected. Numeric inputs must be finite; input errors are distinct from a valid false result or an explicitly qualified output.
  • Extremely large inputs and nonfinite or excessively large outputs are rejected. List positions reported by the tool use zero-based indices unless stated otherwise.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Match the supplied measurements and reference context to the actual crop, material and site. A dimensional calculation or retrieved record is not a substitute for inspecting plant condition and applicable product instructions. Compare the scope of the nearby tools below before substituting one.
