Tissue Core Array Position Token

Format an explicitly supplied tissue-array row label and one-based column without assigning a physical array orientation.

Description

Label a supplied tissue-array row and one-based column.

Histology records connect specimen/cassette/slide identity, section position, image calibration, stain references and evaluable area. Linear and area scales differ, and section pitch is not automatically thickness. Supplied measurements and labels do not inspect tissue, validate preparation or establish a diagnosis.

Label a supplied tissue-array row and one-based column.

When to use this tool

Use Tissue Core Array Position Token when you already have arrayId, rowLabel, columnNumber and need to label a supplied tissue-array row and one-based column.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter arrayId, rowLabel, columnNumber. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read token. Use the output convention below.

Require arrayId nonempty, rowLabel one or more uppercase ASCII letters and positive safe whole columnNumber; concatenate array:rowColumn.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The row is not converted numerically and dimensions are not checked; no actual core position or specimen identity is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile original specimen and processing records with calibrated images and the complete analytical method. Keep evaluable-area, control and section-depth definitions explicit; local ratios, identifier splits and nominal scales do not validate anatomical or diagnostic conclusions.
