Description
Preserve explicit smear region, reader and annotation text.
Hematology records connect source annotations, specimens, instrument/reagent lots, unit bases and control references. A reported dilution correction depends on whether it has already been applied, while percentage and fraction are different representations. Local quantities and source tokens do not validate a sample, result or blood-product release.
Preserve explicit smear region, reader and annotation text.
When to use this tool
Use Smear Region Reader Annotation Token when you already have slideId, regionId, readerId, annotationText and need to preserve explicit smear region, reader and annotation text.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter slideId, regionId, readerId, annotationText. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Enter slideId, regionId, readerId, annotationText using the field constraints below. Encode these values, in exactly that order, as a JSON array and return the serialized array as text in token. String values are preserved without trimming or external terminology lookup.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| slideId | Slide Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| regionId | Region Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| readerId | Reader Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| annotationText | Annotation Text | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The result records supplied values without classifying morphology. Sources and asserted relationships are not independently authenticated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Inspect the original laboratory, QC and product-traceability records before combining results. Use the complete controlled method and reporting convention; one target deviation, volume balance or censoring label does not establish quality or clinical interpretation.
